Beautifully engraved partially-issued certificate from the South Carolina Railroad Company issued in 1866. This historic document was printed by the American Banknote Company and has an ornate border around it with several vignettes: an allegorical woman, revolutionary soldier, and an angel surrounding the seal of South Carolina; a train; a young woman and boy; and a young sailor lost in thought.
