issued in 1937. This historic document was printed by Waterlow & Sons Limited and has an ornate border around it with a vignette of a woman's profile, wearing a tiara. This item has been hand signed by London Committe, Leopold Albu and Assistant London Secretary, and is over 74 years old. Punch cancelled.

West Rand Consolidated Mines Limited was registered under Transvaal Law. It was a consolidation of the large mining area in the West Rand District of the Transvaal in order that it may be exploited on a large scale in the most efficient and economical manner.
The Company's assets comprised of 726 Claims on the farms Luipaardsvlei No. 8, Rietvlei No. 113 and Uitvalfontein No. 2.
The aggregation of the claims owned by this Company with those owned by the West Rand Mines, Limited, and the Violet Consolidated Gold Mining Company, Limited, constitutes, with the exception of a few small detached blocks, a compact mining area of approximately 1,000 claims, 'the importance of which, having regard nagnitude and position, are apparent on reference to the map accompany

The West Rand Consolidated Mines, Limited, was registered at Pretoria on the 10th August, 1003, with an authorised capital of ,£1,525,000, divided into 1,500,000 ■Ordinary Shares of £i each and 25,000 Deferred Shares of £1 each. 1,175,964 of the Ordinary Shares and the whole of tbe Deferred Shares have been issued as fully paid in part payment for the assets mentioned below, and of the balance of the Ordinary Shares 250,000 shares have been subscribed for at £7 per share, and foim part of those now offered for sale, and 74,036 shares are held in reserve.
