Beautifully engraved certificate from the Acme Harvesting Machine Company issued
in 1908. This item is hand signed by the company’s president ( P. D. Middlekauff) and treasurer (P.P. Cooley) and is
over 104 years old. There is also an embossed corporate seal. There is the words "Duty State" written in light pencil on the top center of the certificate.
The company was incorporated in West Virginia and its plant was located in Peoria, Illinois. The company was originally established in 1859 in the manufacture and sale of harvesting machinery, including binders, mowers, rakes, and headers. The certificate was issued to the National Union Bank of Boston.
