issued in 1865. This historic document was printed by American Banknote Company and has an
ornate border around it with a vignette of Massachusetts Capitol Building. This item has the signatures of the Company's President, David Lincoln and Cashier, John O. Lovett and is over 143 years old. Punched cancelled.

BOSTON, Sept. 29, The city is beginning at last to feel the terrible pressure, and a condition of things it was hoped would be averted is possible.
