Wolford - Famous Luxury Women Body Wear Products

Beautifully engraved certificate from the Wolford Aktiengeselt Schaft Lady Aktie issued in 1995. This historic document has an ornate border around it with vignettes of Egyptian women one is fully clothed. This item has the printed signatures of the company’s officers. 14 unused coupons attached on top.

The company was formed in 1949 as a limited partnership under the name of "Wolff & Co.KG" and started business on January 1, 1950.

The production of stockings had been taken up as early as 1946 but this business was carried out in the town of Hard as a division of "Vorarlberger Wirkwarenfabrik Gebrüder Wolff" until 1948. In 1949, this business unit was spun off and operated as an independent entity under the name of "Strumpffabrik Gebr. Wolff".

On April 29, 1988, this company was transformed into a stock corporation and the transformation was entered into the commercial register of the Provincial Court of Feldkirch as commercial court.
