Beautifully printed Certificate from the Watervliet Paper Company issued in 1915. This historic document has an ornate border around it with a vignette of an eagle. It also has a golden image of the face of a woman at the bottom. This item is hand signed by the company president and is over 88 years old. Watervliet lies on the I-94 Chicago-Detroit corridor in northern Berrien County, Michigan. This small town, with it's population of near 2,000, is a thriving community with a commitment to its history, economic development and an enriched lifestyle. Watervliet was founded in 1833 when the Sumner-Wheeler saw mill was erected on the current site of the Watervliet Paper Company. The company is owned by The EMCO/Hanover Group. The EMCO/Hanover Group, Inc.specializes in matters attendant to the senior management decision-making process as well as those relating to litigation support, business valuations, merger/acquisition, capital sourcing and value enhancement. The EMCO/Hanover Group's principals have been extremely active in numerous industries, in a variety of capacities, both as on-line executives and senior consultants. This certificate looks great framed and is much nicer in person than the scan indicates. The certificate has folds in it and has some minor toning on the left side from being stored in the stock ledger.
