Beautiful certificate from the Belmont & Easton Turnpike Road printed in 1820 for 50 dollars. This historic document has an ornate border around and attached are the Rules respecting Transfers. This item has the signatures of the Company’s President, Levi Morton and Treasurer, Jason Torrey and is over 193 years old.
Rules for Transfers
The Belmont and Easton Turnpike Road started at Belmont, in Mount Pleasant township, and passes through the townships of Canaan, Salem, and Sterling, to the south line of Wayne county, and thence to the Easton and Wilkesbarre Turnpike, in Northampton county. Incorporated March 13, 1812.
