Beautifully engraved certificate from the Harris Safety Company issued in 1905. This historic document was printed by Albert B. King and has an
ornate border around it with a vignette of an eagle. This item has the signatures of the Company's President, Thomas E. Davey and Secretary and is over 98 years old.
Harris was located in New York City. The company was the first to design and build a mechanically drawn (vs horse drawn) fire engine in the United States, which was purchased by the New York City Fire Department.
