Beautifully engraved certificate from the Metropolitan Telephone and Telegraph issued in 1912. This historic document was printed by Merritt and Hanfling and has an ornate border around it with a telephone at bottom with an underprint of telephone poles with wires. This item is hand signed by the Company's Vice-President ( H. Lee Sellers ) and Secretary ( Butler Jack )and is over 108 years old. The Metropolitan Telephone and Telegraph company's name was later changed to the Cosmopolitan Telephone and Telegraph Company.
