Beautiful RARE certificate from the Mobile Fire Department Insurance Company issued in 1876. This historic document was printed by American Bank Note Company and has an ornate border around it with a vignette of two firemen and the Alabama State Seal. This item has the signatures of the Company's President, Jno. Maguire and Secretary and is over 130 years old.
Certificate Vignette Mobile Fire Department Insurance Company was founded in 1866. The company had a Fire Marker showing a fireman's hat and company's initials in raised letters that was used between 1866 and 1879.
