Beautifully engraved SCARCE certificate from the New Orleans Terminal Company issued no later than 1917. This historic document was printed by Walle & Co and has an ornate border around it with a vignette of company's name in fancy print. This item is hand signed by the Company's Officers and is over 51 years old.
Certificate Vignette In 1916, the Southern Railway Company acquired control of the New Orleans Terminal Company with its industrial sidings a dock facilities. The New Orleans Terminal Company was formerly the New Orleans and San Francisco Railroad Company. The New Orleans Terminal Company has more than 90 miles of track and industrial sidings running through the center of the city and downstream along the river to Chalmette -location of the railway's dock facilities and the huge plant of Kaiser Aluminum and Chemical Corporation.
