Beautifully engraved certificate from the Pennsylvania Salt Manufacturing Company issued no later than 1888. This historic document has an ornate border around it with a vignette of an eagle with a shield. This item is hand signed by the Company's President and Treasurer and is over 115 years old.
Certificate Vignette Pennsylvania Salt Manufacturing was started by an enterprising group of Quaker businessmen in 1850, producing lye and other alkaline salts from natural salts.
