Beautiful partially issued certificate from the South Carolina Rail Road Company issued in 1866. This historic document was printed by the American Banknote Company and has an ornate border around it with several vignettes: an allegorical woman, herald angel, and a soldier with the state seal of South Carolina between them, as well as a ship in the background; a train; an young sailor pulling a rope; and an allegorical woman. This item is over 145 years old.
