Beautiful Scarce stock certificate from the Acacia Hotel Corporation issued in 1920. This historic document has a photo vignette of the Acacia Hotel. This item has the signatures of the Company's President, J. W. Atkinson and Secretary, T. H. Holson and is over 93 years old. Reinforced on on back.
Certificate Vignette The Acacia Hotel (104 E. Platte Avenue), was designed by Thomas MacLaren, and erected by Roberts and Bishoff. The 150-room building included a two-foot-thick stone foundation and twelveinch brick walls. The Acacia (with its roughly H-shaped design on the upper stories) boasted "all outside rooms," as well as electric lights, steam heat, telephones, music in the evenings, a café, a ballroom, beautiful furnishings, and sample rooms for traveling salesmen.
