Beautifully engraved Certificate from the famous Aviation Corporation issued in the 1940's. This historic document was printed by theColumbian Banknote Company and has an ornate border around it with a vignette of a map of the continential United States. This item has the printed signature of the company's officers is over 53 years old. In 1947 the company changed its name to Avco Manufacturing and in 1959 to Avco Corporation. In 1985, the company was merged into Textron, Inc.
