Beautifully engraved certificate from the Confederate States of America issued in 1863. This historic document has an ornate border around it with a vignette of a Confederate Officer overlooking the Rappahannock River West of Fredricksberg. There is also a riverboat vignette in the lower portion of the certificate. This item is hand signed by the Acting Register of the Treasury, Charles Rose and is over 149 years old. There are 7 unused coupons attached to this certificate not shown in the scan. EF.
