Beautifully engraved SPECIMEN certificate from the Fansteel Metallurgical Corporation. This historic document was printed by the Columbian Banknote Company and has an ornate border around it with a vignette of an allegorical man. This item has the printed signatures of the Company's President and Secretary.

On January 15, 2002, Fansteel Inc. and its U.S. subsidiaries filed voluntary petitions for reorganization under Chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code the filings were made in the United States Bankruptcy Court in Wilmington, Delaware.
