Green Bay Packers Incorporated - RARE Stock Certificate- Wisconsin 1952 signed by president, Emil Fischer.

After Green Bay Packers founder Curly Lambeau resigned following the 1949 season, the team had more problems than merely finding a new coach. The team's financial situation was in desperate straights, and it was actually on the verge of bankruptcy if something wasn't done quickly. That's when Packers president Emil Fischer called on for help from fans and local business to raise funds with the team's third-ever stock sale. The team offered 9,500 shares to the public at $25 each, and the response was overwhelming, as the Packers raised a mind-boggling $118,000. The franchise was saved.

Offered here is an original Packers stock certificate from the 1950 offering and the two-sided document exhibits superb condition throughout. Measuring at 8.5x10.75, it displays the typical two mail folds and it is signed by Fischer in Mint green ink. A rare and significant memento from an extremely historic part of Packers history.
