Beautifully engraved certificate from the Jackson Butte Mining and Milling Company issued in 1899. This historic document was printed by J.C. Irvine Lith. and has an ornate border around it with a vignette of a woman holding a shield with a bear to her side ( Californias State Shield ). This item is hand signed by the Company's President ( J.S. Devlin ) and Secretary ( C.E. Mayfield ) and is over 116 years old.
