Beautifully engraved certificate from the Long Island Underground Telegraph Co. issued in 1888. This historic document has an ornate border around it with a vignette of an eagle with a shield between allegorical women ( New York State Seal ). This item is hand signed by the Company's President ( George B. Pennock ) and Secretary ( W. S. Williams ) and is over 115 years old. The actual certificate looks much better than the scan indicates.
