Certificate Vignette The OZ Entertainment Company (OEC) is a family entertainment company formed in 1996 which plans to develop an innovative master-planned community on the 9065-acre site of the former Sunflower Army Ammunition Plant near DeSoto, Kansas. The initial phase will be anchored by the world's first digitally networked theme park, The Wonderful World of OZ as well as a resort complex and retail entertainment showcase. Additional phases will blend residential villages, a high-tech business complex and other amenities to create a community within a park-like setting. OEC is committed to the Kansas City region and will donate 2,828 acres of cleaned land to the local community for public parks, recreation, education and historic preservation. In addition, 1,000 acres will be allocated for open green space uses such as golf courses. The OZ Entertainment Company is the parent company to five subsidiary companies which are each responsible for different aspects of the Project.
