Beautiful unissued certificate from the Philadelphia & Erie Land Company printed in the 1860's. This historic document was printed by J.Haehnlen, Phila and has with a vignettes of an eagle, hunting dogs, and the state shield. This item is over 135 years old.
Certificate Vignette Several influential men organized the Philadelphia & Erie Land Company, and purchased William Baird's farm in Renovo, Pennsylvania transferring all of it lying north of the railroad tract to the Philadelphia & Erie Land Railroad Company. It was used for erecting shops for the accommodation of the growing interests of the railroad.
