Letterhead from the Providence & Stonington Steamship Company issued in 1878. This historic document is hand signed and is over 119 years old. The Stonington Steamship Company was organized in 1867 by the Stonington Railroad Company and others to operate between New York City and Stonington, Connecticut. It was consolidated into the Providence & Stonington Steamship Company in 1875 and terminated operations in 1896.
