Certificate Vignette
A specialty chemical manufacturer and subsidiary of GenTek, the company supplies the antiperspirant industry. From its three plants in New Jersey, Texas, and Ireland, Reheis also produces chemicals for vaccines and for the pharmaceutical and food industries. Its three main product areas are antiperspirant actives (the stuff that stops the sweat), potassium chloride (used for many purposes by the pharmaceutical and food industries), and vaccine adjuvants (which enhance the effectiveness of the vaccine). In 2008 Summit Research Labs agreed to buy the antiperspirant active operations of Reheis. After the deal closes, the acquiring company will operate as SummitReheis.
