This historic document has an ornate border around it with a vignette of three allegorical women and an eagle and a potrait of a lady. This item is over 149 years old. This check was paid on behalf of Abraham Bell and Son for shipping services. Abraham Bell and Son was a Quaker-owned shipping merchant company and Forwarding Agent headquartered out of New York City.
