Beautifully engraved Gold bond certificate from the Spice Run Lumber Company issued in 1916. This historic document has an ornate border around it with a vignette of an allegorical woman holding an American flag. This item is hand signed by the Company's President ( James Flynn )and Secretary ( David Flynn ) and is over 101 years old. Punch cancelled in EF Condition The Spice Run Lumber Company was part of the logging boom that took place a hundred years ago in the State of West Virginia. During its heyday, Spice Run was a lumber town with a mill with 50 houses and yards. Currently there is only one house and a large pasture.
