Beautiful certificate from the Harlem Transfer Company issued in 1898. This historic document has an
ornate border around it with a vignette of an eagle. This item has the signatures of the Company's President and Secretary and is over 98 years old.
The Harlem Transfer Company owned valuable terminals on the Harlem River in New York. In 1905, the Delaware, Lackawanna and Western Railroad purchased a controlling interest in the company.
