Beautiful certificate from the Hyde Park Suburban Club issued in 1890. This historic document was printed by Goes & Quensel Banknote Company and has an
ornate border around it with a vignette of the Hyde Park Suburban Club. This item has the signatures of the Company's President, Van H. Higgins and Secretary, W. P. Griswold and is over 117 years old.
Higgins Ave in Chicago was named after Van H. Higgins Superior Court judge, real estate operator, subdivider, and one of the founders of the Chicago Historical Society. Higgins was among the 42 organizers of the Chicago Bar Association in early 1874
