Beautifully engraved unissued certificate from the Sierra Madre and Antelope Valley Toll Road Company printed in 1896. This historic document has an ornate border around it with a vignette of an eagle with a city in the background. This item is over 105 years old. This company had a toll road (trail) from Sierra Madre to the Antelope Valley through the Angeles National Forest. The Angeles National Forest is where the famous Monte Cristo Gold Mine is located.
