Beautifully engraved certificate from the Spice Run Lumber Company issued from 1910 - 1915. This historic document has an ornate border around it with a vignette of an indian with a harbor scene in the background. This item has the hand signatures of the Company's President ( James Flynn )and Secretary ( David Flynn ).

The Spice Run Lumber Company was part of the logging boom that took place a hundred years ago in the State of West Virginia. During its heyday, Spice Run was a lumber town with a mill with 50 houses and yards. Currently there is only one house and a large pasture.
