Beautiful certificate from the Brink's Express Company issued in 1912. This historic document was printed by the Goes Company and has an ornate border around it with a vignette of an eagle. This item has the original signatures of the Company's President, Percival Arthur Brink and Secretary, and is over 100 years old. Signed on the back by A. P. Brink (Arthur P. Brink) and N. M. Brink.

The Brink's Express company, which evolved into the worldwide Brink's company famous for its armored cars and other security aspects was started by Washington Perry Brink (b. 22 Oct 1830, West Rochester, Windsor, VT), in Chicago, Illinois in May, 1859. It started as a package delivery company. Marjorie Brink Royce grew up in Chicago enjoying the wealth of the Brink's family. She moved to California with her father Coneral Percival Arthur "P.A." Brink when he moved to start a western branch of the Brink's company. Washington Perry Brink, founded Brink's City Express, or what we now know as Brink's Inc. in 1859, in Chicago Illinois. He was known as Perry Brink. After Perry Brink's death (1874), Brink's Express continued to grow and prosper under the leadership of his son Arthur P. Brink, Also known as A.P. BRINK, who was my Great, Great Grandfather. A.P. Brink resigned from the company in 1912 and went to California a year after his son Percy Arthur Brink quit to move west.
