The Illinois Pure Aluminum Company made Pure Spun Aluminum Cooking Utensils. What Sterling means to Silver, this Trade Mark means to Aluminum Cooking Utensils was their slogan. The company operated out of Lemont, Illinois. Aluminum, a new material, began to be seriously used as cookware as early as the 1890s when it was cast and stamped. Among one of the first manufacturers was the Illinois Pure Aluminum Co.
