Beautifully engraved Gold Bond Certificate from the Marietta and North Georgia Railway Company dated in 1887. This historic document was printed by the Homer Lee Banknote Company and has an ornate border around it with a vignette of a train at a station. This item has the signatures of the Company's President and Treasurer and is over 122 years old.
Certificate Vignette The Marietta and North Georgia Railroad was consolidated with the Georgia and North Carolina Railroad and was renamed the Marietta and North Georgia Railway in 1887. The company later became the Louisville and Nashville Railroad.
