This historic document was printed by the Security-Columbian United States Banknote Corporation and has an ornate border around it with a vignette of the company logo. This item has the printed signatures of the Company's President ( Wayne Norbitz ) and Secretary.
Certificate Vignette It began as a nickel hot dog stand in Coney Island in 1916 and grew to become the much-loved New York institution now available throughout the United States and overseas. Nathan's Famous recently entered a dynamic new stage, evolving from a company that owned and operated restaurants to a company that owns and markets brands. Nathan's Famous, Inc. has historically operated and franchised fast-food units featuring Nathan's brand all beef frankfurters, fresh crinkle-cut French fried potatoes and a variety of other menu offerings. As of March 25, 2001, the Company's system, consisting of Nathan's Famous, Kenny Rogers Roasters and Miami Subs restaurants, included 25 Company-owned units concentrated in the New York metropolitan area (including New Jersey) and Florida. Also included were 386 franchised units, including four units operating pursuant to management agreements, and over 1,200 branded product points of sale under the Company's Branded Product Program, located in 42 states, the District of Columbia and 17 foreign countries.
