Beautifully engraved certificate from the Porphyry Consolidated Copper Company issued in 1919. This historic document has an ornate border around it with a vignette of an eagle with a union shield. This item is hand signed by the Company's officers and is over 86 years old. "Porphyry Copper" is commonly used to describe large, low-grade (<2%) disseminated copper deposits. In the continental USA, these deposits are found in Utah, Nevada, Arizona, and New Mexico.
