Beautiful $100 Gold Bond certificate from the Postal Telegraph and Cable Company issued in 1928. This historic document was printed by the American Bank Note Company and has an ornate border around it with a vignette of two allegorical men sitting next to a picture of North America. This item has the original signatures of the Company's Vice President, and Assistant Secretary, and is over 84 years old. French Tax Stamp dated 1948 affixed to face.

JW Mackay founded in 1886 the Postal Telegraph Cable Co. This company was a competitor to Western Union. In 1928, it became part of ITT under the name of Postal Telegraph & Cable.
