Beautifully engraved certificate from the Central and Pacific Improvement Corporation issued in 1927. This historic document was printed by the H. S. Crocker Company and has an ornate border around it with a vignette of an eagle holding a shield with stars and stripes on it by its feet with the sun at the horizon in the background. This item is hand signed by the Company's President ( R. H. Raphael ) and Secretary ( Jules Kaufman ) and is over 77 years old. The certificate was issued to James W. Hellman and signed by him on the verso.
