Beautifully engraved Certificate from the famous Directomat, Inc issued in the 1960's. This historic document was printed by the Security Columbian Banknote Company and has an ornate border around it with a vignette of three allegorical figures. This item is has the printed signatures of the company's officers. Directomat was a recording and playback system invented by Lucien C. Ducret. One of its uses was in the New York subways to help people plot their routes. Unfortunately, vandalism got the better of it. The company lost their way and was adjudicated bankrupt on 1/19/70.
