Beautifully SCARCE engraved certificate from the Pathé Freres Phonograph Company issued in 1920. This historic document was printed by American Bank Note Company and has an ornate border around it with a vignette of company's logo. This item is hand signed by the Company's President ( Eugene A. Widinann ) and Treasurer ( T. E. Montagne ) and is over 84 years old. The certificate was issued to Anita M.S. Taylor.
Certificate Vignette The Pathé Freres Phonograph Company was engaged in the manufacture of phonographs, phonographic records and radio equipment. They had a plant located in Brooklyn, New York. The company changed their name in 1922 to the Pathé Phonograph & Radio Corporation. The Pathe brothers, Emile and Charles, utilized a rooster in the logo for their business, Pathe Freres Phonograph Company. Nipper appeared on all Victor products, and the red rooster appeared on all Pathe Freres Phonograph Company products.
